Watching Diana work with the pets over the past 10 years has helped Melissa develop a better understanding of her own dogs. So when the idea to become partners in Waggs N Whiskers was discussed there was no question this was a good fit. Melissa shares that same passion for the love and care of others pets as Diana. She embraces the values and culture Waggs n’ Whiskers is known for and is focused on providing only the best care for your pets. Each of our staff from the daycare professionals to the walkers, pet sitters and trainers has been carefully selected for their dedication, patience and experience prior to becoming part of our team.
A passion for animals compelled Diana to create Elite Pet Services, WalkingPaws, and Waggs N Whiskers. She has created these companies for pet owners who need reliable pet care and training. Diana is the pet mother of three adopted canine girls. And she knows how imperative it is to have a great understanding of canine language and effective communication to have a great relationship with your dogs.
Diana is certified as a Certified Professional Dog Trainer – Knowledge Assessed (CPDT-KA®), member of The Association of Professional Dog Trainers. She is First Aid, CPR trained, bonded, insured.. Moreover, she is an AKC GCG Evaluator, she can administer the AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy Program, CGC, AKC Community Canine, Urban CGC and Trick Dog Tests.
Ryder has recently joined the team at Waggs N Whiskers as our lead dog attendant. Ryder comes with a wealth of dog daycare experience and is very knowledgeable in working with and caring for our four-legged canine family members.
He enjoys using yoga and meditation to his daily practices and applies those calming techniques when taking care of our more sensitive pups. On his time off, Ryder enjoys sculpting, sword fighting (SCA), woodworking, making rings, and power lifting.
We are excited to have Ryder become a part of our business and look forward to introducing him to you.
Hello, my name is Megan Shupe. I am currently in college where I am working on a degree in Psychology. I have also recently decided to receive my groomers certificate as grooming dogs is a passion of mine. I have two miniature Schnauzers at home whom I adore and that have given me my love of dogs. I find working with dogs to be challenging and satisfying work. I have the opportunity to learn how to better understand the dogs needs and what helps motivate them to be better pets.
